about

Relationships are odd things. They're always new. Even old ones. Especially old ones. Newer friends are really sort of just the same old newer friends you had before, give or take a few career ambitions or family situations. But what about your mom? Or what about the dude (or dudette) you played "house" with in the sandbox at elementary school, who you still see on a regular basis? These relationships, which have lasted years, are often the most surprising. Recalled experiences feed new experiences, and new experiences feed recalled experiences. Old becomes new, and new becomes old. Now, of course, new friends are still quite wonderful. They often bring something new out from within you, which was there, but had no previous intention of bringing itself to the surface. They're impressed with you, and weirded out by you. Your entire perception of one another hinges, as if over the edge of a river valley full of hell-hounds, upon complexly simple things, such as word-choice or eschatology.

Track Name: The Light
I am afraid
I shouldn't be
I know where to go
But I cannot see
I am in love
I hurt and I heal
I lost my heart
But I can still feel
I am a corpse
I walk and I care
I've no destination
But I'm getting there
I am a sight
But I cannot see
I am invisible
But I am not free
I am so lost
I've found my self here
I've fallen so far
But I need you near
You are the light
You give and you take
You empty me now
But you give what I need

You tore the curtain
And you called my name
In your body I will feel no pain
You were broken
But you weren't afraid
In your body
You were taken away
You gave yourself
In the pouring rain
To any liar
Who would call your name
When I was young
I was so afraid
Now there is nothing but an empty grave
Track Name: Colt Song
Have a merry Christmas
A happy hanukkah too
Don't tell me all about it
I don't want to talk about
The things that your brothers do
Have another coke now
You've already had two
Spill it on the couch
She's already such a grouch
Not much we can do

Have a fit of rage now
What are we coming to?
It's the age where death is all the rage
I'll go get the glue
Have another coke now
You've already had three
Your brain is a river
Spilling out with every shiver
Into the sea

"Who am I to you?"
Said the sun to the moon
There was no reply
But stary, blurry gloom
What a dance the planets performed
For me tonight
I'd give them anything they want

"Give it all to me
The colt, the bag, the shoes."
"Reach for the stars."
"What have I got to lose?"
I pulled the black sky
Wrapped around my eyes
Sent them far away
I wouldn't give them anything

And I'll never see you again
Until the afterlife
Track Name: Love What's Happening Here
I can't get you off of my mind
Your love is tangible
Your heart has a glow
And I never ever ever did find
A love so sweet so sweet so sweet
I can't get you out of my head
You're stuck in the verses
In rhythmic reverses
I never ever ever did mind
Your sound so loud so loud so loud
I love what's happening here
I love what's happening here
I love what's happening here
Between us

I can't get you off of my chest
You touched the stone
It sunk into the bone
And I never ever ever did hear
A sound so clear so clear so clear
I can't get you onto the page
A love evangelical
That harbors the light
And I never ever wanted to know
A love so sweet so sweet so sweet
I love what's happening here
I love what's happening here
I love what's happening here
Between us
Track Name: In My Blood
In my blood
I can feel it
In my blood
Water flows
And I don't know
Where it's going
In my blood
Ice like snow
Track Name: Jacket Song
I took my jacket off at dinner time
I sang but I forgot to rhyme
Oh did we feel light in our eyes
Oh did we feel light headed

Oh did we feel light in our eyes
Oh did we feel love in our minds

I fell across the floor and bled out
I shifted time without a shout
Oh did we feel light in our eyes
Oh did we feel light headed

Oh did we feel light in our eyes
Oh did we feel love in our minds

I want somebody else to feel it
I want somebody else to feel it
I want somebody else to feel it
I want somebody else to feel it now

We feel the light
In our eyes
We feel the love
In our minds

1, 2, 3, 4
Track Name: The Light Pt. 2
In my head
I know you're not afraid
In my heart
I think I feel your pain
In my mind
I hear your voice again
In my mind
I wish you'd speak again

My eyes are a mirror
The light that you see
Is the light that's in you
My heart disappears
Every time that you step out the room

In my mind
The planets melt away
In my mind
The stars are giving way
In my side
I feel like I'm to blame
You took the sword
Oh yeah you took my shame

My eyes are a mirror
The light that you see
Is the light that's in you
My heart disappears
Every time that you step out the room

From the mud
That you make white as snow
From the blood
That you make water flow
From the clay
That you make living flesh
From the galaxies
Made to mesh

My eyes are a mirror
The light that you see
Is the light that's in you
My heart disappears
Every time that you step out the room
Track Name: The (mis)Information
Love is an obvious idea
Why do you call me crazy
For loving you this way?
You have a tendency to turn
Just when the hurting stops
You turn back to your own way
Stop this sacrifice
You don't need a sacrifice
He already died
No other blood will suffice

Destroy the misinformation

I'm burning it up
Everything you gave me
Cuz nothing nothing nothing
Can restore my broken heart
I've found life by death
It's all that can save my soul
Cuz no one no one no one else
Can wash my filthy heart

I'm burning it up
I'm burning it up
Track Name: The Pressure
(Improvisation)

Did I come on alright?
Did I come on okay?
Did I feel the pressure?
Ohhhh

Take me where I'll fall apart
I cannot love you
From the start
I know it's hard
To care

I'm so uncool
Like the middle of a rapture
Jump in the pool
A pre-millenial disaster
I know I was not like this before
You were a ghost
A holy apparition
But now you're real
You've appeared in dissipation
I know you were not like this before

Take me where I'll fall apart
I cannot love you
From the start
I know it's hard
To care

I never knew
The complication of imbalance
It was askew
An Abrahamic borealis
I have seen a light like this before
I ran across
A crumbling roman colliseum
To fight a King
Born in a broken mausoleum
I've never seen a light like this before

Take me where I'll fall apart
I cannot love you
From the start
I know it's hard
To care

Oooh
Track Name: The Stone
When I was made of wood
I watched the polished stone
Waiting for a day
That I would not be alone
Many have come
In the name of love
But love is not the name
Of the One above

Who's great love
Is an overflow
Of the light
They have
Inside?
Who will come
To justify the lost?
One of which
Am I

When I was very young
I felt it open wide
Death it would not win
Yeah it could not hide
The Stone was gonna come
And crush the serpent's bones
But I looked down at the stream
And saw the Mighty Stone

Who's great love
Is an overflow
Of the light
They have
Inside?
Who will come
To justify the lost?
One of which
Am I

Ohhhh

And I'm praying that you're mine
But it's just so hard
Cuz you're so much better
And I wanted you to know
That I think I've changed
And I want you in my life
And I want you to be mine
But I know that you
Deserve much better
Maybe it's unkind
That I still want you
Though there's nothing good in me
